Howard Clark San Mai Daito

Here's a nice detail shot of a San Mai katana by Howard Clark I polished. It shows the steel quite effectively and how the lines should be crisp after a good polish. I didn't take a lot of photos of this blade, unfortnately, but it was quite a stunning piece.

At this period in Mr. Clark's work the hada was *very* tight in his folded steel work. This one was no exception. And the photos shows some of the distinctive activity seen at this time in his work.
